Muda Exists In Every Process… Eliminate it!

(1) MUDA of Overproduction

This MUDA occurs due to excessive production. Lean calls this the worst MUDA of all because
it hides process problems and other MUDA

MUDA of overproduction, it hides other MUDA.

(2) MUDA of Inventory

Muda in Inventory

• Ties up working capital

• Takes valuable space

• Risk of obsolescence

• Increases work in process

• Slows response to customer

• Requires equipment
• Increases handling damage
• Necessary store… must minimize
