Time Study Calculation (Lead Time, Cycle Time, Takt Time)

Time Study:- A time study is a structured process of directly observing and measuring a human work by a timing device to establish the time required for the completion of the work by a qualified worker.

TT/CT/LT

Takt Time (TT): - Takt time is the time to complete the production process in order to customer                                 Demand.

      * Takt Time cannot be measured by stopwatch.

*  Takt time is based on customer demand.

Takt Time = Net Available Production Time / Customer Demand

Cycle Time (CT): - Cycle Time is taken to complete the specific task.

                      * Cycle Time work process Based.

                             * Cycle Time Can be Measured with a stopwatch.

Cycle Time = Net Available Production time / No. of Units Produced

Lead Time (LT): - Lead time is the time Measured from Customer order to dispatch.

Lead Time = Total Time Taken From order to dispatch

                                                             (Ordered Received date Dispatch date)

                                       *  Lead Time Can be Measured with a stopwatch

Throughput Time:-

Throughput TimeTime starts from Raw materials received till the Dispatch

(RM received  Dispatch)
