Throughput Time and Standard Time calculation

 Throughput Time: - Throughput time is a measure of the time required for a material, Part, or sub-assembly to pass through a manufacturing process following the release of an order to dispatch the Product.

1-    Processing time

2-    Inspection time

3-    Move time

4-  Queue time

Throughput Time= Time starts from Raw materials received till the Dispatch
(RM received Dispatch)

Standard Time (ST): - Standard Time is the time required by an average skilled operator. working at a normal place, to perform a specified task using a prescribed method. It includes appropriate allowances to allow the person to recover from fatigue and, where necessary, an additional allowance to cover contingent elements that may occur but have not been observed.

Observe Time (OT): - Observe time is recorded time to complete any work. OT= Total Time / Total Job

Normal Time (NT): - Time taken by an average worker in normal conditions.

*Rating factor only works in the case of Humans because it will be very human to humans, but the case of machines will be (OT=NT).

RF = If a Normal worker takes more time to complete any job compared to the observed time NT>OT, so in this case need to rate it.

Example: -   Job = 10 min ͂ OT, Average skill worker

                           = 12 min ͂ Normal workers take time

                           RF = 12/10= 1.2 * 100= 120%

Note: - Allowances are always given with respect to normal time
